Organization

Internationally

In general there are three recognized organizations ruling in the dog world:
- The American Kennel Club (abbr. AKC), for northern America
- The Kennel Club (abbr. KC), for the United Kingdom
- Federation Cynologique Internationale (abbr. FCI), for Europe and

other parts of the world
For the breed Boxer specifically, there's also
- Association Technique Internationale du Boxer (abbr. ATIBOX) A worldwide association of national boxer clubs of which The Swedish Boxer Club is a  member.

Nationally

Affiliated with FCI and the ruling organization in Sweden is
- 'Svenska Kennelklubben' / The Swedish Kennel Club (abbr. SKK). The Swedish Boxer Club is recognized by SKK as the official breed club for Boxers and thereby responsible for the breed in the whole of Sweden. This through its membership in the special clubfor all 'working'-breeds, namely,
- 'Svenska Brukshundklubben' / The Swedish Working Dog Association' (abbr. SBK).

The Swedish Boxer Club is managed and led by a central club committee (abbr. AS). Geographically however, the club is divided into 9 local club areas (abbr. LO). Jointly the LO's organize most of the operational activities within The Swedish Boxer Club. Each LO is led by a local club committee.
The Swedish Boxer Club currently has about 1.300 registered members and 500-600 Boxers are annually registered with SKK.
